چکیده
The dynamically changing world poses new challenges to urbanized areas, e.g., related water management in the architectural and urban context. Improving retention strengthening blue-green infrastructure can be based on technical, semi-natural natural methods, which are less invasive. Various forms used city space: flow control, detention, retention, filtration, infiltration, treatment. implementation of green order strategy shaping sustainable development context designing city’s resilience is associated with spatial policy planning assumptions for transformation public spaces investments areas crisis. waterfronts blue significantly shape parameters environment regenerative capacity ecosystem. aim this work was show relationship between problem embankments possibilities developing space their proximity, including exposed risk flooding. relationships determined by goal were verified comparative studies, a repeatable method collecting, processing, analyzing, interpreting obtained data used. issue presented broader flood area Lake Zegrze, collisions conflicts analyzed. results detailed complex Riva Zegrze facilities, model example regarding embankments, considering specific floodplain possibilities. effects research allowed formulation conclusions, terms implementation, field design an embankment.

The unprecedented wave of global urbanization has exerted increased pressure on urban land and made land-use sustainability an urgent concern. This Special Issue examines patterns, structures, and dynamics of urban land use from the economic, social, and, to a lesser extent, environmental standpoints, in light of the goal of equitable and sustainable development. This introduction discusses the...
متن کاملContemporery Urban Development and Sustainable Urban Form
Sustainable settlement is one of the key constituents of sustainable development, and sustainable urban development can be defined in this framework. Emergence of sustainable development as a commonly-used phrase has caused several controversies about urban forms. Today’s urban form is known as a source of environmental problems. Undoubtedly, this phrase has persuaded many of researchers to sea...
متن کاملResilience and sustainable development
1. Resilience This special issue results from a call for papers to address the connection between resilience and sustainability, and stems from the fact that the ecological concept of resilience has been exercising an increasing influence on the economics of development. Resilience is interpreted in two different ways by ecologists: one capturing the speed of return to equilibrium following per...
متن کاملRole of Resilience in Sustainable Urban Stormwater Management
Typically, best management practices (BMPs) are implemented to help sustainable stormwater management in urban areas. Over recent decades the selection of urban stormwater management measures for a site has been a challenge among urban planners where thecriterion based on flood volume no longer suffices for selecting urban drainage solutions. Therefore there is a need to consider a set of holis...
